I wrote this to capture the suffocating feeling of being preyed upon by a memory. The lyrics speak of a lover whose silhouette is 'howling on the hillside,' turning love into an 'invasion in my mind.' It is about the paranoia of feeling a 'black magic' hold over you, where the person you desire becomes a predator lurking in the starlight."
